I found this place by accident, it's tucked back in the cut. Easy to miss. But once you're inside it's like a cozy little cave of awesomeness. The atmosphere is light, calm, easy going. No pressure, it's quiet. The service is fantastic, I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. Even the other customers are welcoming. I never talk to strangers but I was rather chatty with the guys at the end of the bar. I would absolutely return & highly recommend others to give it a shot. I'm happy I found this place. The prices are also great. I ordered veal & 4 shots & it didn't even cost me 40. You get to eat good and not break the bank.

Very good German restaurant near Lancaster! I got the Jaeger Schnitzel, and it came with Spaetzle, which was like a egg noodle pasta, and it was both really good and flavorful. My husband got some American dish, and he enjoyed it as well. And the drinks were good and strong. And the soup was delicious. Everything was great here and we'd come back. Note, it does seem like more like an American pub, with a section of German dishes. There are more non-German dishes than German ones.

This is a hidden gem that you have to access through a neighborhood. The hot german potato salad reminded me of my Grandma's (amazing). The chicken salad sandwich was so tasty with bacon on toast. I don't know where to start on how delicious the french onion soup was but wow! Our waiter Sean was so friendly and accomodating, not to mention the awesome little Bavarian looking village the restaurant is in. I highly recommend taking a day trip and exploring everything around this little town.

I visited a couple of weeks ago, and there was a pretty steady flow of people going in and out. Despite being low on staff, the folks here did a great job with everything. I was impressed by the delicious food, the calm atmosphere (I did dine outside), and my waitress. Despite a few “Negative Nancy’s,” she stayed calm, cool, collected, and didn’t let them interfere with her positive attitude, or her work. I will certainly be back!

My family had dinner here for my sisters birthday. Fast service food was really good. Our server met all our needs and did a great job. I would eat here again. We were here at 6:00 on a Wednesday evening and there was no wait for a table we ate outside near the fountain which was a nice backdrop. If you have extra time find the pond by the woods and feed the koi and catfish.

This was a great place to eat! I had the pork schnitzel which was exceptional with red-skin mashed potatoes and bourbon and brown sugar-glazed carrots. The pretzel was out of this world, and the hofbrau beer was also great. This is an exceptional place to get German and American cuisine if you are close to the Adamstown area or are visiting the Stoudtburg Village.
